History
In the forestry industry since 1970, the shareholders of Âmbar Florestal have been strengthening their competences in this segment. In the 80’s, they began exploring oleoresin from Flopal’s forests, which helped them gain knowledge and experience that were fundamental to consolidate the business.
Founded in 1999, Âmbar reinforced itself as an oleoresin from Pinus Elliottii company. Located in São José do Norte, at Rio Grande do Sul’s coast, it works with over 4 million plants, which makes the company the main producer of oleoresin of the State and one of the largest in Brazil.
With this number of trees in operation, Âmbar has reached a level of stability that can be maintained for many years. To the sustainability of production, the company invests in society where it operates and in quality of the work relations as a way to ensure its competitiveness. With approximately 700 employees it has become one of the most strategic organizations for the development of the Region.
Nowadays, Âmbar started industrializing its crude gum, therefore expanding its portfolio with gum rosin and turpentine. Through these products the company has now more points of interaction with the pine chemicals market, hoping thereby to strengthen themselves as a solid and high quality bran
